👋 Hello everyone,
I'm Stacy, and I like to say I’m a smart mover now—but that wasn’t always the case. For about eleven years, I moved around for all the usual reasons: a little FOMO here, a job promotion there, and not enough real investigation into the places I was actually moving to. I’d find myself landing somewhere and realizing it didn’t quite match the lifestyle or the financial expectations I had.
So, here’s a bit about me and why I created the Smart Movers Club. I’ve been an entrepreneur for a long time—since the late 90s, actually. I’ve built websites, created music, launched newsletters, even started a clothing brand that delivered staple pieces on demand back in 2006 (way before same day delivery platforms). I’ve always loved the creative process and the rush of helping someone find what they need. But the business side, the scaling, the numbers—those took longer for me to master.
Fast forward to 2025. I found myself running a cargo van business, driving from Los Angeles all the way to Bozeman, Montana. And if you know anything about freight, you know that not every region is a goldmine for loads. I ended up in places where my van was empty on the way back and I started asking deeper questions: Why do people move where they move? Why do certain places attract investment or freight and others don’t?
When I got back home to the East Coast, I dove into data—cost of living, taxes, home values, quality of life, crime rates—all the nitty-gritty details. I realized there wasn’t one place that pulled it all together. And as a former realtor who’d watched big money shape neighborhoods in Philadelphia, I knew how crucial that info was.
That’s why I created the Smart Movers Club. It’s a tight-knit community of like-minded folks who want to make their next move the best move, with all the data the big players have. We’re not here to give you real estate advice or investment tips, just the real-time insights you need to decide what’s right for you.
So that’s the story. Thanks for being part of this journey. We’re just getting started, and I’m thrilled to have you with me on this ride.
Moving smarter,
Stacy
